Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here!
Hey, friend!
This blog is by an intelligent human being, no AI is used to generate the copy of my posts or my images.
My name is Marie. I’m a stay-at-home homeschooling mom living on a homestead in rural Ohio. My Lord Jesus Christ is the anchor of my life and my constant inspiration to be a better wife and mother for my family. My heart has always been toward other young mothers in the thick of it.
I created this blog out of a desire to encourage other women, but especially moms, to get back to doing things with their hands. To point them back to Christ as they navigate the roller coaster of motherhood. I created this blog to hopefully inspire you to give each day your best.
I know it sometimes seems like there aren’t enough hours in a day. So how does one even make time for crafts?! I write to you as a mother of five children all under the age of ten. In order to keep a home, homeschool, and homestead, it requires me to live with a lot of intentionality. And take courage! I have been in seasons that require me to lay it aside.
This blog is for you if you’ve wanted to start a craft (or return to one!) or do more in the kitchen. I have talked with so many moms who want craft or who want to make sourdough and they get stuck in overwhelm.
I want this space to be the place you come to and pull inspiration from. The place that reminds you of your purpose as a mother, and the fortitude to carry on. I don’t want to set an example of idleness or laziness for my children. I want to show them how I carry the burdens of life to the feet of my Lord and how to handle stress in a healthy way. There is meaning and purpose in working with your hands that is more fulfilling than scrolling, and its constancy has carried me through many stressful times.
I chose Sewn and Sprouted as a blog name because of the refinement the Lord has done in my life. Wherever the world has left me torn, He has faithfully sewn me together again. Where I didn’t think I could change, He has grown good things in me. He never promised the journey would be easy, but He did promise to work it all for His glory.
So here’s your invitation. Let’s create more in 2026, together. Come December I can’t wait to look back and see all we accomplish. May the Lord sprout some good out of our lives this year, amen?
For His glory,
Marie
